Online vs In-Person KAP Sessions — Which Is Right for You?

One of the most common questions we hear is whether KAP can really work online. The short answer is yes — and for many people it’s a brilliant way to practise regularly. Here’s how the two compare, honestly.

What’s the same

The process is identical. In both formats you lie down, close your eyes, let music carry the session, and allow your body to respond. The structure is the same too — a short introduction, the transmission, and time to integrate — and a facilitator holds the session throughout.

What’s different

In person, you’re physically in the room with the facilitator. There’s the atmosphere of a dedicated space, and facilitation can include proximity and, with consent, light touch.

Online, you’re in your own space and facilitation happens remotely, so there’s no physical contact. That’s not a lesser experience — it’s simply a different one, and many people drop in just as deeply at home.

Why preparation matters more online

When you’re at home, your environment does more of the work. A quiet, private room where you won’t be interrupted makes all the difference. Our preparation guide covers the simple setup that helps an online session land.

Who in-person suits

In-person is ideal if you’re in London, especially for a first session, or if you simply value being in the room and held in a dedicated space.

Who online suits

Online is ideal for international or out-of-town clients, busy schedules, and returning clients who want to practise regularly from home. If you’re new and in London, though, we’d still gently suggest starting in person — it’s the easiest first experience.

Can you start online?

You can. Plenty of people do. Just give your space and preparation a little extra attention, and you’ll be set up to get the most from it.

In short: the process is the same in both; in-person adds physical presence and a dedicated space, while online adds convenience and access. New and in London? Start in person. Remote or returning? Online works beautifully.
